FIREWOOD MINISTRY
The Firewood Ministry was added in January 2016 when four families shared a need for firewood to heat their home during the winter months. Any household that uses a woodstove as their main heating source can be eligible for free firewood one time per year. The process is the same as our financial assistance guidelines.
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR FIREWOOD MINISTRY ASSISTANCE?
Eligibility is determined by income/debt of ALL individuals in the household. Clients will be considered ineligible for assistance including but not limited to the following reasons:
- Falsifying application information
- Not presenting all requested information at appointments
- Income to debt ratio
- Failing to disclose assistance from other agencies for the same bill
- Files exceeding seven years of assistance per Executive Directors recommendation
- Maximum of two financial assistance per year
- Must be 90 days between requests
WHAT DO I BRING FOR A FIREWOOD
ASSISTANCE APPOINTMENT?

Those desiring assistance MUST present the following information at EVERY request:

- Picture Identification for each adult in the home (example: State of Tennessee Driver's License)
- Social security card for each member of the household
- Most recent proof of income
